Meet Dr. Healy

Dentistry allows me to improve my patients' lives, both functionally and aesthetically, but it also lets me to interact on a daily basis with a diverse cross-section of the community. I encounter people from all walks of life on a daily basis, which enlivens every day. I strive to relieve the apprehensions of my patients with humor and confidence. A visit to the dentist should be a pleasant experience, and that is my goal.

Education and continuing education

My formal education began at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, where I earned my undergraduate degree. To fulfill my desire to become a dentist, I enrolled at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and graduated with my Doctor of Dental Surgery. Before joining Dr. Schwartzman in private practice, I worked as a dentist for four years in Lima, Peru, and another four years in Dhaka, Bangladesh, as well as practicing locally for many years. Today, as a member of the Shady Grove Study Club, I attend regular meetings to discuss advances in dentistry and present challenging cases to my peers.

Outside the office

I was raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Today I reside in Montgomery County with my wife, Sarah-Ann, and we have three wonderful children. I have coached hockey and baseball in the local community, and I enjoy playing ice hockey myself. We also enjoy traveling as a family.
