Meet Dr. Paul Schwartzman

Every day I come into the office, I feel truly grateful to have chosen dentistry as my profession. I love having the opportunity to earn the trust of my patients while guiding them to make educated decisions regarding their oral health. I am passionate about the bonds formed with my patients; over the years I have gotten to know them and their families, sharing milestones, accomplishments, and sometimes even sadness with them. I consider most of them to be my friends.

Education and continuing education

After earning my Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Georgetown University in 1982, I pursued my dental education at Washington University School of Dental Medicine. I received my Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1986 and spent the next nine years as a dentist with the US Navy.

Since graduating from dental school, I have regularly attended continuing education courses. They keep me updated on state-of-the-art treatments and technology. I return from these courses excited and eager to share my newly gained knowledge with my staff and our patients. Working with Dr. Healy and Dr. Offit is extremely rewarding. We challenge each other to be better dentists, and our patients benefit from that.

Outside the office

Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I currently reside in Gaithersburg with my wife Karen and our two children, Robyn and Kevin. I love spending as much time as possible with my family, but when I have the time, I also enjoy traveling, bicycling, and reading.
